This travel blog provides an overview of the best places to stay in Uzbekistan, focusing on the best hotels in Uzbekistan. Even though most of the accommodations are mentioned in separate city and travel guides, this overview supports you in easy booking and exploration. Generally, Uzbekistan offers lovely guest houses and the most friendly staff and owners. Although some hotel rooms might feel slightly outdated, they are always clean and you are well taken care off.

- The best hotels in Tashkent -

During our visit to Tashkent, we stayed at Sapiens Hotel. In total, we stayed here on the first and final day of our trip. The hotel is basic, with a main building (including an elevator) and a sub-building (without an elevator), and small but clean rooms. However, their breakfast was the best we had in Uzbekistan and in the evening their rooftop transforms into a bar. Plenty of reasons to book your stay here for €75 a night.

Slightly outside the main town, you can find the Ichan Qal’a Premium Class Hotel. Unsurprisingly, this is a well-known luxury hotel including both an outdoor and indoor pool. Furthermore, the interior of the rooms focuses on an eastern look. In summary, this is the perfect hotel if you are seeking some luxury.

Is location the most important hotel feature for you? In that case, the City Centre Hotel might be your favourite pick. Even though the rooms are simple, the location and cleanliness make it a gem.

- The best hotels in Samarkand -

This 3-star hotel, hotel Marakanda, is located near the University Boulevard in a lively neighbourhood with multiple restaurants close by. In the hotel, you will find all basic necessities for around €45 a night.

During our stay in Samarkand, we slept in Furkat Guesthouse for 3 nights. Manage your expectations, as the rooms are not feeling too clean and quite stuffy. Nevertheless, it is a cosy place when you are traveling on a budget (€35 a night). On top of that, the guesthouse is located on a 10-minute walk from the Registan and close to for example Art Cafe Norgis and Bibikhanum Tea House.

With a 9.7 rating on Booking, Billuri Sitori is a catch in Samarkand. There is a terrace, bar and communal garden and rooms are modern for Uzbek standards. Pries start at around €55 a night.

The Registan Saroy is a lovely modern hotel with an Uzbek twist. Also, breakfastis served at the hotel and prices are decent, with rooms starting from €50 a night.

Depending on what you are looking for in a hotel, Media Hotel Samarkand might be the perfect option for you. Even though the hotel is located a bit outside the city, it has a wonderful pool available. You might have to take a taxi to visit the main sights or go out for dinner, however, it rewards you with amazing facilities to enjoy some relaxation during your day. The costs for one a room for a night start at €55.

- The best hotels in Bukhara -

During our visit to Bukhara, we had the pleasure of staying at Old Gate Guesthouse. Firstly, the guesthouse owners (a family) were the sweetest ever. The eldest man did not speak English but was very friendly and helpful. However, when we needed something, he straight away called his family who spoke English perfectly. Also, they serve some homemade breakfast in the morning. You can book a room for around €50 per night in one of the best places to stay in Uzbekistan.

A beautiful boutique hotel that is centrally located close to Lyabi Hauz. Next to the beautiful rooms Kukaldosh offers, they also have their own restaurant and bar. Generally, rooms are between €70 and €90 a night.

Another beautiful boutique hotel in Bukhara is Porso. For prices between €50 and €80 a night, you get a beautiful and air-conditioned room. Also, an exceptional breakfast is included.

As you can see, Bukhara is full of great hotel options for a good price. Similar to the other hotels, in Old Bukhara you can enjoy a lovely breakfast and an air-conditioned room. Prices already start from €40 a night (including the Genius discount) and are on average €60 a night.

- The best hotels in Khiva -

During our visit to Khiva, we stayed at Islam Khodja Guesthouse and that was a perfect choice. The hosts were just so friendly and helpful, which was amazing to experience. The rooms were good, they served a home-prepared breakfast in the morning and the backyard offered great views of the Islam Khodja minaret. On average, a room costs €50 per night. For sure, the friendly hosts make it one of the best places to stay in Uzbekistan.

This hotel is perfect if you are seeking an unforgettable experience, as it is based in a madrasah. Next to that, it is located at the foot of the Kalta Minor minaret. You might expect high prices for a night in this hotel, however, you can already book a room starting from €65.

This final recommendation is your budget option, as rooms are available starting from €30. Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your experience. Also here, rooms are clean and the staff is friendly.
